| 696978 | 2008-08-13 07:32:00 | I was asked to look at a friends computer today with no sound . After checking plugs etc, reinstalling drivers it still comes up with a 'code 10' . When I check properties it says the device cannot start it has a problem . Even though I am not at that computer any longer, it did say CMedia AC97Audio Device, PCI Bus0 Device 17, function 5 If anyone has any hints, I would be pleased to hear them, as I can go back, or does it sound more like hardware . It is running XP and is onboard sound, I did uninstall, then reinstall, same with drivers etc . |
