Hot windy summers. In winter there was fog and smog 24 hours a day. But at least there were no traffic jams and you could move from one side of town to the other at a rapid pace. I would place chch as a better place to live than Ak. But not much better.And both of them are better than Wgton. |

| 450457 | 2006-05-03 23:51:00 | I stayed in CHCH once at a friend's palce and offered to mow the lawn (push mower) as you know a contribution to the upkeep. The lawn never thawed out enough! Spiky green ice. I had to wait for a really hot day, ie above freezing before I could do it. Nice city though. Auckland's nice too, but the traffic system is a shambles. (I think this was mentioned once before.) :p |
