| 696754 | 2008-08-12 10:03:00 | Sounds like something may have came lose. Does the SATA connectors simply push on, or do they have metal clips, if it happens again, if your cables dont have the clips I'd suggest purchasing some newer cables. |

| 696756 | 2008-08-12 10:55:00 | Here you go Speedy - Found this Picture (www.imagef1.net.nz) on a web site :lol: after braving the cold night to go out to the workshop and take a pic. They have a metal clip that "Snaps" into place. A standard SATA connector pushes on and sometimes will work lose, all it takes is a knock of the PC, or excessive vibration over time and they can work lose, these beauty's they lock in and you really have to pull them out, if you look at the picture you will see what looks like two little square bumps, these actually are like teeth that face backwards and dig into the drive/Board, and the harder you pull the tighter they grip, they can really be a pain to get out sometimes. | 696757 | 2008-08-12 11:06:00 | Ah I see. Yup, I see the diff between SATA 1 and 2 headers too. The SATA 1's dont have the sides on them. The SATA 2 headers do. I cant see any of those cables in NZ Whats the price for one of these cables? |
