450996 2006-05-01 08:42:00 a+ isnt worth anything in the industry any more, go to uni, get a bachelor of science in computer science, or learn a language like mysql, java, c++ and do contract work. tonnes of businesses have ads in the monday herald for tech jobs to do with programming and database management Tux (606)
450997 2006-05-01 08:50:00 I find that amazing. C++ has been the hottest kid on the block for soooooo long. Can it be that good or hasn't there been any innovation since? Jeez, last time I had anything to do with anything C it was just C, where is D? mark c (247)
450998 2006-05-01 08:50:00 If your planning on going to aussie newspapers work. Here I think it is a case of knowing somebody or making yourself known to people.

Good luck dude.

451003 2006-05-01 10:37:00 yea, i do hav experience, i worked in conjuction with my high school's technician last year, setting up pcs, installing OSes, working with servers and troubleshooting (a lot of that). would starting my own business be a bad idea? aidanmaz (7180)
451004 2006-05-01 10:47:00 Hmm, 17, no insurance, no capital, no reputation, lots of competition...
It will be hard... but not impossible!

Why not try working for peanuts or for free with someone else for a while to get the gist of it?

Are you aiming for the service/repair side of things or will it be service/repair/sales/building area of it?
