Why do women have to always produce some convaluted mixture of inedable componants? My favourite supplier of food is the local fish and chip shop. Lovely fresh fish fried in fat,not oil, and sprinkled with salt. He also does a pretty good hamburger too. My favourite. eggburger with cheese, no lettuce or carrot.Plenty of salt. Dirty words, extra virgin olive oil, corrieander, capsicum, sun dried tomato. And the worst, most tasteless, meat of any sort, with the fat removed. Anything fried must be in fat or butter. There. I bet that will have the health freaks up in arms. BUt food is to be enjoyed. It is NOT a medicine. |

Tonights meal is bacon, fried up leftover potatoes fried in bacon fat, mushrooms for husband sauted in bacon fat and some grilled tomatoes too. I hate Olive oil, it tastes horrible, don't use coriander leaves or sun dried anything. Capsicum on the other hand is a main ingredient in Goulash.... Best way to cook bacon, grill it - it goes crispy like it should and you get to drain off that really useful and tasty fat for keeping for fried up potato and the like. Now that will horrify the dieticians... |

| 450483 | 2006-04-29 10:43:00 | Weiner schnitzel still makes me go all gooey... except I have to make it myself with gluten free breadcrumbs. Minted lamb cutlets come in a close second, but they require something called an oven and take far too long... not good done in a microwave. I think I might have to head off to beetle's place for dinner :) |
