| 696737 | 2008-08-12 06:10:00 | Hey guys I recently noticed that my internet speed, which is rated at 256 kbits download and 128 kbits upload, now has a 500Kbytes download speed I am not complaining! Please don't tell my ISP, just whanted to know why I am getting aussie speeds, or maybe my ISP upgraded to ADSL2+... www.imagef1.net.nz |

If you've downloading at 525kb\sec, theoretically you should be getting around 4100kbps-4500kbps to anywhere in NZ. There are 8 bits in a byte. So if you're downloading at 525 Kb\Sec, thats around 4200kbps. Sounds like your ISP has un-capped your download speed. KB\Sec = Kilo bytes per second Kbps = kilo bits per second |

If I have a download in progress just before 7pm, about a minute after 7pm, it kicks up significantly. It doesn't happen all the time though. If I cancel it and start the download again, it is at its normal speed. |

| 696741 | 2008-08-12 06:35:00 | Yes I do, that why I said its superfast, 256 Kbits = around 32Kbytes, which was my average speed 1 month ago. This download is new, I have never downloaded it before, so the download is not cached. | SPARTAN 860 (2618) | ||

| 696743 | 2008-08-13 04:42:00 | I like that changed speed idea, but it better not come with a change in price. If something is broke, then I hope they don't fix it ;). | SPARTAN 860 (2618) | ||
