696536 2008-08-11 21:35:00 I would have thought the opposite - depending on the CF card - some are faster than others. Your seek times should be much faster.

There's nothing much in the way of translation going on over the interface, as I understand it, the PCMCIA (& therefore CF) interface is pretty much the same as IDE.
