| 696533 | 2008-08-11 12:14:00 | Does anyone have this modem? Seeing my V2 is doing a superb job I was thinking of getting V5. I need QOS to bandwidth limit the wireless clients as they are chewing up my data and I would also like to know roughly how much data they use I have the V2 model and wish to replace it with a modem that has a built in wireless router that has a QOS feature. or if possible can anyone recommend me a good modem with a built in wireless router. I have 3 friends that are connected to my router at the moment. The first friend is about 10m away. The 2nd one 20m.The 3rd one is about 30m away from my router.I am directly connected thru a line If possible maybe someone can recommend me a good modem with a built in router that supports http://www.dd-wrt.com/ firmware? I don't really know how to install the 3rd party firmware although I have heard positive reviews about it |
