| 449914 | 2006-04-27 05:40:00 | I received an email today from McAfee AU because I have "an active VirusScan subscription due to expire." It went on to say that my recommended action was to renew my "VirusScan service today for 64.95 (AUD) and save 18% off the regular 79.95 (AUD) subscription price." The email also noted that my Anti-virus protection "expires 09/10/2006 ". Given that it isn't even May yet, meaning I still have nearly six months of a twelve month subscription to go, I have to assume that either McAfee have suddenly turned over a new leaf and have become extremely customer-focussed or they are so strapped for cash they desperately need my 70-odd kiwi pesos to stay in business - or perhaps they are worried that I will go elsewhere in October. Which I intend doing anyway!! |
