449776 2006-04-26 15:28:00 HI

I have a question.

The upgrade mobile i will be getting the Nokia N73

It says that it is QVGA not VGA like the N70

Whats the difference between the two?

I know the VGA has a resolution of 640x480 and QVGA has 320x240 according to wikipedia but I know that QVGA is alot better but how?ISn't the higher the resolution the better?

What gave you that idea? Q stands for quater - so qurter VGA, lower resolution, mostly on the older models.
Of course it isn't better. Get VGA.

449778 2006-04-26 23:39:00 Nokia n70 screen is 176 x 208 pixels, n73 is QVGA. Is there any VGA nokia phones? I know HTC Universal have a VGA screen. STi (8857)
449779 2006-04-27 02:03:00 Oh thanks for clearing that up

So that brings me to the next question. Is there a name for the resolution that we have on color screen mobiles?

Since most mobiles have 176x.. Is there a term for it if its not called VGA?

No. Its expressed usually as the actual resolution, since the screens are not the same aspect ratio or size as "standard" screens so there would have to be a book of such "names", often a special name for each make and model.

Looking at all your mobiles for sale on TradeMe, I see they still have a "NZ Plug Adaptor" included, does that mean you are still selling illegal (non approved) power adapters even after all the advice was given here?

I can give you the phone number of the appropriate person in the Ministry of Economic Development (Energy Safety Service) who will confirm what you have previously been told regarding this matter if you need?

You are risking a very large fine, plus possibly endangering lives.

449783 2006-04-27 05:31:00 There is no explaining possible if they do not have NZ style plugs factory fitted and are offered for sale (adapters do not alter the matter in any way).
The law is the law, you cannot "explain" around it, those who must enforce the law have no ability to give you or anyone else a dispensation from it.

You have had this explained many times before, I urge you to please listen and act. It is disappointing that you have not done so yet but we live in hope.
