| 697594 | 2008-08-16 02:25:00 | AVAST program has done a hell install its not there buts its there if you know what I mean so AVG wont load. System restore wont work thanks to winner advice to tick some lines in hijack this log So basically hard drive is no good I dont have the windows xp disk to repair it but it has a legal COA sticker. What I have done is take the hard drive from old computer( after throwing on the trailer as rubbish) and fitted it to new computer. I have cd for this hard drive. I cant access the bios to get it to boot from cd It has an intel celeron motherboard i have tried every f key and delete key. There is no setup screen on boot just a half second blue intel splash page. The computer is 2ghz intel celeron thanks |

On device manager there are 3 yellow marks on other devices when clicked they say unknown device PCI bus. Which thing on the device manager do I try to load drivers. thanks |

Avast is a better product than AVG anyway. How about just taking Avast out manually to solve the problem instead of going of and doing completely drastic things? |

You'll have to reformat this hdd and reinstall everything back onto it BUT, if the CD you've got now, (I take it, it was to restore the old system)? it will expect to see the old system / hardware. Otherwise, you may not be able to activate it after |

| 697603 | 2008-08-16 08:25:00 | Use this to remove Avast (www.avast.com) Remember to use it in safe mode, and make sure you select the right folder. As it says it'll delete the whole folder |
