| 697341 | 2008-08-15 00:07:00 | A compaq Peraserio Compaq Serial H239 KTPZ 0167. The HP websie says its an Evo, and gives 2 options, neither of them give me soundcard and network card drivers. Its currently running linux Ubuntu 8.0.4 Soundcard: Intel 82801D8 ICH4 - cant find any XP drivers NIC: Intel Pro VE 10/100 mb/sec (in past experiences on other PCs XP detected this, and putting server 2003 on this particular PC detects it) Can anyone point me in the right direction for drivers? | 697342 | 2008-08-15 01:08:00 | Is the sound a AC97 (this is what google implies)? Can you get a model number, would be more helpful then serial. Would this (h20000.www2.hp.com) nic driver work seems to be Intel Pro and used by the vast majority of the Evo series. |

| 697343 | 2008-08-15 01:29:00 | 82801D8 ICH4 is just the audio controller, what you need to find out is the codec used - probably a Realtek chip of some sort (other likely candidates are SoundMAX/VIA/C-media/Sigmatel) Either check your board by looking at it or download everest/astra or other hardware identification tool and find out You LAN drivers should be here (first download on the list): downloadcenter.intel.com |
