697120 2008-08-14 01:56:00 Hello, I am having trouble loading PM Storybook - turquoise - onto my school's computer. It comes up with an error message that I need 3mb of free virtual memory. This is a new laptop - windows XP. How do I sort this out?
Yours in anticipation of a resolution,

Pat :thanks

If this is a school's computer / laptop then it might be worth asking your Schools IT department.

697122 2008-08-14 21:49:00 Yeah - as to that I am the IT expert, we are a very small rural school. Thought someone might know about 'free virtual memory'. Worth a crack, anyway, thanks. zefirebird (3970)
697123 2008-08-14 23:39:00 3mb?? Install more ram.

Or shutdown / close some programs, if youre not using them

Seems like your page file is far too small, or the app is reporting something wrong.

To check/adjust the size of the page file in XP, right click on My Computer, click properties, and open the advanced tab. Under performance, click settings. Go to the advanced tab. Down the bottom you'll be able to see the size of it. Click change, and make the size of the page file twice the amount of RAM you have. EG, if you have 512MB RAM, make the page file 1024 MB.

Reboot and try the app again.

If you have significantly less than 512MB RAM, you should look at installing more.
