| 452732 | 2006-05-06 10:21:00 | Hi All, Is there any difference between these two dishes? Different Size perhaps or different specifications. I believe all the free to air programmes work thro them? Yes I realise you need a sky decoder "black Box" to translate the programmes. Also A "Satellite black box" for satelite programes. What programes can one get from Satelite. is it free or 'pay for'. | 452733 | 2006-05-06 10:27:00 | i'm a little out of date but afaik its really only tv 1&2 advaiable free to air via skys satelite (not to be confused with sky's free to air service ie free to air channels only but you still have to pay sky for it). other country free to air tv is advailable from other satelites but needs bigger dishes. free to air sat requires a sat receiver. as far as sky dish size goes.....the weaker the signal the bigger the dish you need which is mainly dictated by location in the country. a biiger sky dish won't get you a better pic but it will mean it dosn't cut out so much with "rain fade". |
