The problem is the auto assign just isn't working and I don't know why or how to fix it, so I went into the modem and I manually assigned an IP address to the computer looping the DNS through the modem rather than the ISP and it worked. |

| 697584 | 2008-08-17 11:28:00 | Great that it is going now. Sounds like the DHCP client service is not started. Out of curiosity it can be checked here. Rt clk My Computer/Manage/Services. The DHCP client should be 'Automatic' and started. |
