697076 2008-08-13 19:54:00 hello,

i have a toshiba p35-s6292 laptop, the dvd-ram device is not functioning

there is a yellow caution mark in the device manager tab

when i click on properties i get the following

"A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)"

i dissabled and re enabled the device but it did not help

have als unistalled it and used the add hardware wizard..but no luck

it seems to be a registry issue, i just don't know how to fix it
to re enable that particular driver

i have recovered my comp from malware infestation so this could be the reason for the problem

running windows xp home sp2
ie 7

hope someone in this forum can help with this

tx

697085 2008-08-14 11:36:00 but not like this old dittie that comes to mind
(each 1 is a single 1... so 11 is one-one, not eleven)

1 1 was 1 racehorse
2 1 was 1 2
1 1 1 1 race 1 day
2 1 1 1 2
