I thought military service was all about comraderie and bonding with people who might end up saving your bacon or vice versa. |

| 453148 | 2006-05-08 09:52:00 | Showers aside, it's great fun. You won't regret it. You get fed, clothed, told what to do, get fit, shoot rifles and get paid. What more could you want? Oh and if you don't smoke, you soon will. And the haircut leaves a lot to be desired. As does getting up at 3am to go on parade with your toothbrush. But hey, it's all part of the fun. Just don't bend over in the shower to pick up the soap (just kidding) :D And if you can wrangle it, don't do your basic over winter - Waiouru is bad enough let alone in winter. Ah - just do it! It's great fun. A (former Gnr, RNZA) P.S. And the 'chunder run' is nothing to right home about. And you will never look at your wardrobe the same either.... |
