451636 2006-05-03 07:09:00 Got a call from a Manager.
Downner went out to our exchange and did a half fix. Immediate result from speed test was 958.8 which is the best I've had so far. Will monitor it though and manager is checking back with me on Monday.

He also said I should try and get hold of others off this exchange and gave me a "group" case number, they need to post their speed results too - this way it doesn't get shuffled through the helpdesk, it goes staright into our one file as being the speed issue with our exchange.

He said that way its not being lost in the pile, its looked at straight away and once they have the others they'll go back to the exchange and do more to it.

So progress finally.

Also got a call from the Commerce Commission who aren't interested, he said they are only looking at the bit where Telecom says Faster AND cheaper. The issue as far as they are concerned being the cheaper.

The issue as far as they are concerned being the cheaper .

Unbelievable, surely the two statements go hand in hand as to perceived value . Ineffectual morons, buffoons, leeches on the taxpayer . Is it any wonder this thing and it's various related issues has unendingly staggered from one issue to another with limp regard for the consumer from these people .

I wouldn't mind if they investigated thoroughly and found no case, as long as the investigation is robust and broad enough to look at the issues at hand (which is still quite narrow) . Blimmin numpty's .
