| 698275 | 2008-08-18 02:54:00 | Hi, Recently i tried Avg free 8 but it took more than 3 hours for scanning my computer. Can someone explain to me whether it's normal or just setting problem? Thanks in advance. |

| 698276 | 2008-08-18 02:59:00 | Dosent sound right unless you have mega files. Mine would take around 50 minutes with 138k of files I would unistall avg and reinstall it update and try again. Seems a lot of people here are avast fans but avast caused me problems on a bad install. Although someone said there is a special program you can get to get rid of it |

It's gone downhill terribly with the last "upgrade's" You would be better following others advice and moving to Avast instead. - a post from the AVG forum Posted by: LindaS1213 (IP Logged) Date: August 17, 2008 11:48PM Before I got 8.0 it only took a short time for the antivirus software to run it's scan.
