| 698167 | 2008-08-17 21:04:00 | I had this message appear when updating AVG free yesterday so removed the program then downloaded it again and reinstalled. went to do the updates and got this message again. | 698169 | 2008-08-17 21:29:00 | If you really really want to stay with AVG...I would suggest to install AVG 7.5 www.brothersoft.com but you WILL have to totally have to remove it from your computer. Not only uninstall but from registry. Remove it in its entirety. I found it to work that way. I experience the same thing and there was no resolution but that. Do not install AVG 8.0 under any circumstance. It will create more of a headache for you and your computer. But if you are not set on AVG...please use avast: www.download.com It is much better in comparison to AVG. I was a long time AVG user...but no longer. |
