| 698055 | 2008-08-17 09:04:00 | I am assembling a new PC (my fourth). total parts connected are motherboard (gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H with built-in graphics), ram (Transend dual channel 2 GB 800 MHz) and CPU (AMD Athlon X2 5200+); and of course PSU (Thermaltake 430W). On startup, fans work so there is power there but the screen remains blank. No drives or grahics card. I have tried reinstalling the RAM and CPU but that did not help. Looks like something is dead to me. Any suggestions? |

| 698057 | 2008-08-17 10:03:00 | Has it got the ATX 12v connector on it?? Is the ATX 12v adapter connected to it from the PSU? Also, I would check the GB site to see WHAT BIOS revision supports that CPU.. It may need a BIOS update (which it may not have), before it'll work with that CPU |

| 698058 | 2008-08-17 10:40:00 | Problem solved! This motherboard had two power connections, a 24 pin connection and a second 4 pin connection for the CPU. I missed the second one. For anyone who also has this problem, check also that your PSU is set to 230v. |
