697834 2008-08-26 05:55:00 Isn't there a bug in explorer that causes it to crash if it tries to get info from a corrupt AVI file?

But if other things are crashing also it could be a virus.

I'd run an online virus scan; Ewido, TrendMicro and Bitdefender are all good ones (and they also remove any viruses they find)

697835 2008-08-26 07:10:00 that potion is just a game, it has nothing to do with the videos its supposed to be run on windows 95 mode but i forgot and it came up, i porbably didnt read it before posting

but i think it could be a corrupt .avi file how do i know which one it is?

also i have run kaspersky online scanner it found one that was meant to be in a quarantine when i uninstalled some program ill try trendmicro

697836 2008-08-26 07:12:00 How many AVI files have you got? Speedy Gonzales (78)
697837 2008-08-26 08:06:00 2 in that folder
theyre both converted by total video converter

could it be that theres something wrong with it? and be making corrupt .avi files?

697838 2008-08-26 08:06:00 i just tried them all,

it is making them corupt probably because whenever i open one explorer encounters an error

697839 2008-08-26 09:30:00 Well easy way to fix it delete them. Then see if explorer crashes

What codecs are installed?? If you've installed any, if it still crashes uninstall them too
