It's called being responsible. There are plenty of cat owners who do keep cats confined indoors. If they can do it, so can you. |

So what? Build a cattery. Cat proof your property so it can't roam. People do that for other animals (eg, dogs, rabbits etc). Why let your pet crap in other people's gardens? It's not fair on the neighbours. If you can't keep it confined to your own property, don't have a cat. Problem is, cat owners just can't be bothered. |

| 454024 | 2006-05-14 04:02:00 | sorry? pure breeds are bred to not have the deformaties you speak of.What a crock! Look at bulldogs with their problems of natural birth; german shepherds with their poor hips, often with dysplasia; rough collies with their eye problems; ditto chihuahuas; dachshunds with their spinal problems. It's a known thing among the not-so-blind breeders that these problems in pure breeds are rife, and a direct result of breeding to exceed the standards! |

Yes - and cats have been introduced by humans. The killing of native wildlife by these introduced animals is entirely the fault of irresponsible humans. If all cat owners had been responsible, then we wouldn't have such a problem with strays, ferals and domestic cats running loose. Perhaps it's time to do something about these irresponsible idiots who call themselves animal lovers. |
