698070 2008-08-18 09:16:00 Hm... Nothing seems to point to the network card but it does point to your video card (a couple of those errors were caused by that). Seems you have a nvidia card of some type?

What model - and do you have the latest drivers for it?

698071 2008-08-18 09:26:00 The first one means this (support.microsoft.com)

This should fix this (www.microsoft.com)

Windows saved user MARK-STUDY\Mark registry while an application or service was still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no longer in use

Find out where this file is, what folder is it in? Its possible it belongs to a trojan

kp.exe

As this one says

The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume C:.

Check it and back up what you need, The hdd may need replacing / or you may have to reformat

This

The driver nv4_disp for the display device \Device\Video0 got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates.

Could be whats causing you to crash. Uninstall the Nvidia drivers

698072 2008-08-18 09:27:00 I have a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400, not sure its got the latest drivers, probably not. But I jut did a quick Google and the driver is 20 odd MB which I don't want to download yet as they haven't connected my broadband, it will hopefully be done tomorrow so I will download it then.

I've switched the modem off since I'm not connected to Broadband and turned off the power saving and it seems to be OK today, not that I've used it much.

698073 2008-08-18 09:33:00 And this

The server could not bind to the transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{30F1767F-7912-4C5F-AC99-8D9024660F75} because another computer on the network has the same name. The server could not start.

Means this (support.microsoft.com)

698074 2008-08-18 09:41:00 OK looking at the Error logs ( Ta! :) ) there's a couple that don't quite look right.

Example:

1.
On the 17th -- The server could not bind to the transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{30F1767F-7912-4C5F-AC99-8D9024660F75} because another computer on the network has the same name. The server could not start.

Do you have another PC/Laptop on your network with the same name as this one - you cant have two or more the same ?

2.
On the 17th --The IP address lease 10.1.1.3 for the Network Card with network address 00173F9BD505 has been denied by the DHCP server 10.1.1.1

Then on the 16th --The IP address lease 192.168.2.16 for the Network Card with network address 00173F9BD505 has been denied by the DHCP server 10.1.1.1

The second one would indicate that there is some other device that's issuing a different IP address. (192.168.2.16)
Do you have some other sort of router/switch as well as the D-Link DSL-504T ??

The default IP gateway address for the D-Link DSL-504T from memory is 10.1.1.1 so where did it get the 192.168.2.16 from on the 17th ?

You should be getting address's in the range of 10.1.1.2 - 10.1.1.254

No there's only the one PC connected to the modem, it is a 4 port Modem router but I only have the one PC, I bought the 4 port one 'cos mypC is getting on a bit and eventually I'll buy a new one and keep this one for the kids .

The IP address of the modem is indeed 10 . 1 . 1 . 1, I haven't been connected to Xnet yet, was supposed to have happened on Saturday but apparently there is a problem and a tech is going to investigate tomorrow .

Cheers Speedy I have downloaded and installed UPH Clean, do I have to run that or does it run automatically?

I'll run check disc later and will hopefully download some new drivers for the video card tomorrow if Xnet and Telecom manage to connect me.

Is that about it?
Saint Huck (2424)
698079 2008-08-18 10:06:00 You install Uphclean, thats it, it runs as a service

Did you check the other links I posted?? Those should fix the other errors
