More realistic flight dynamics and killing people. I have some You Tube Videos (youtube.com) there, my FS ones are on Google Videos but they are lower quality and less deaths lol. I still like FS though, fly online Metla (via Vatsim or IVAO), speak to guys doing ATC and other pilots via voice comm (via your planes radio) and it becomes a different world .. as for not using a joystick ... well, I'm not even gonna comment on that, much. |

As for joysticks?, do you prefer them over a flight yoke? Oh for sure, whatever rocks ya boat. I can't get into car racing sims at all, or more accurately can't stay on the track. I have an old Genius Steering Wheel and pedals (gameport style) and run the pedals through a midi - USB adapter to use as rudder in FS, BF and IL2. I don't have a yoke, it would be just that bit too far to go for me, and I figure that if they fly military jets and planes with a 'joystick' it's ok for me to! I use a Saitek Cyborg EVO stick, which is a good compromise between functionality and price. |

Sure they can seem a bit boring, no killing etc. But when you actualy get good enough to fly (and land) the planes properly it can be fun just doing circuits around your favorite city. |
