2008-08-21 22:06:00 | Thanks, Beeswax. It all seems OK as the voice message file is there and the test button produces the voice fine. True on both a Vista and XP install here. The test button may work but did you leave it with sounds enabled?

2008-08-22 06:50:00 | Wondered why mine wasn't working either, then I turned the speakers on, lol! | lakewoodlady (103) | |

2008-08-23 08:04:00 | Did anyone read post 7? Did you read all the other posts where linw says that when he tests the sound file it works OK? That means that his speakers are not muted and are fine.

2008-08-24 02:27:00 | Thanks, Beeswax!! Actually, the stats are improving somewhat . I thought 3 out of 4 weren't talking . Now I have sneaked up on 2 XP systems and managed to catch them!! So, now, it's only the main Vista machine I haven't heard . But, this m/c is on all the time so maybe it is talking to itself in the wee small hours? Thought I might see the update times in the log but none there . Never mind .

2008-08-24 07:06:00 | If you go to your Vista machine's event viewer and click on the log for Anti-virus, it will tell you when the virus database was automatically updated. | beeswax34 (63) | |

2008-08-24 23:00:00 | The antivirus log only has scanning errors . Last one is 9 Aug . So, no info there . Can't see any entries anywhere to show update times . Looked under Program Files/Alwill . No evidence there, either . Tried forcing an update to test it . All it does is load files and print message about files being up to date . Not to worry .
