It simply doesn't work. And it breaks so easily, you can't uninstall it half the time, I have had 3 now in the last few days, no end of issues, viruses, spyware, freezing, all with OneCrap installed.

And I couldn't uninstall it and re-install it to fix the issues with it, had to manually rip it out. It takes longer than Nortons to scan, and still doesn't find anything at the end of it. It's absolutley hopeless. :groan:

Microsoft have really outdone themselves this time.

698795 2008-08-20 00:57:00 Also similar to Norton is the fact they have also had to make a cleanup tool for windows Live OneCare removal. (download.microsoft.com)

Did you try that mate?

You're a legend. Being a MS product, I didn't actually think to search for a removal tool.

That's just what I need, will be great for next time.

Well, of course it doesn't - its an MS product. Just like Windows Defender, and the Repair function in Vista to name a few other useless bits of code.

I love that complete faith in MS. :)

I'd rather use Norton. It might be slow and crappy but I've used it since 2002 (though ditched it last year in favour of AntiVir) and never had problems like that

That's really bad. Like the guy says, All the products (OE, Windows and OneCare) are designed by Microsoft. If they can't get their own programs to work together then they're idiots

698803 2008-08-20 04:57:00 Crap, basically. I used the beta and final versions of Defender - I was NOT impressed.

It's the equivalent of Norton making a really lousy word processor... :D
