| 698405 | 2008-08-18 07:19:00 | a family member is looking to upgrade pc to handle photo editing. just wondering if modern onboard graphics is enough for the job especially with large uncompressed files (ie video ram sufficient ??) |

| 698409 | 2008-08-18 08:43:00 | Why? Because I have built identical computers and experienced the one using on-board video lag behind even during non-graphical tasks and choke the PC to death when tasked with graphically intensive tasks. I'd recommend a dedicated video card (or at the very least dedicated video ram in the case of a laptop) for all PC's unless the budget can't be stretched to cover it. |
