699779 2008-08-23 11:20:00 Hi, I have three computers on a network at home all connecting to the internet though a Linksys modem/router. I use the xnet usage monitor which is great but is there a program I can put on each computer to moniter the usage of each one? Or a program on mine to monitor the usage of each PC. I don't want to get into IP addresses and network configuration, just something simple.
Thanks,
asdex

699781 2008-08-26 00:37:00 Thanks for that. I gave that a go but couldn't get it to work. No fault of the program, just didn't understand all the entries. Is there another program I can install on each computer?
Thanks,

Hi asdex. What sort of "entries" are we looking at?

Cheers :)

699783 2008-08-26 11:32:00 Do you mean that there were too many entries in the "Interface to Monitor" box?

The one that you should be following should be a 10/100/1000 adapter or similar. Dont worry about all the entries, my laptop gets 12 of them or so. Just see which one mirrors your usage and track that one.

699784 2008-08-26 20:49:00 Beeswax, how does that software monitor traffic on another PC as well as your own, I need something myself to monitor my daughters traffic usage.. SolMiester (139)
699785 2008-08-27 07:46:00 It can't monitor a remote PC's usage but the OP said that he was happy enough with just installing it on each computer and then having a look manually.

Does your router support bandwidth logging? Maybe a custom firmware such as Tomato would do the trick in your case?
