699521 2008-08-23 03:47:00 Hey all,

Ive got my hands on an AirPort Express (802.11g). Turns out its quite a cool little device from what Ive seen.

Unfortunately there's *apparently* a limit of 10 concurrent connections at once that it can sustain. The wireless network at my place (which extends to the church) sometimes has around 35 devices connected between the two current AP's, one is in Repeater-Bridge mode.

Aaaanyways, a few questions:
The 10 PC limit, whats it a limit of? Have they setup DHCP so it wont provide more than 10 IP's? Will it not allow any additional devices to connect after 10?
What about if I (hypothetically) have an AirPort Extreme, then an AirPort Express as a repeater, does the Express still have a limit of 10?

Is it possible (Perhaps through some non-std firmware or something?) to have it act as a repeater for a regular non-apple AirPort network? Currently its only happy about joining it as a client :(

Has anybody else used one and has some thoughts / comments on any of the AirPort base-station products?

Cheers

Chill.
