If so, can you please tell me if it's stuffed :crying When I plug a drive (have only tried IDE so far - all my SATAs are in use), it makes the "hardware connected" sound and the icon to Safely Remove the adapter (not the drive) appears in the taskbar. The drive sometimes appears in Disk Mgmt, but shows the status "Not Initialised" - on all the drives I have tried (old 3GB 500MB and 20GB). The drives all work and have OSs on them. Once it spun up a few minutes after I connected it and all is well, but this has only happened once on one of the drives on one of the machines I tested it on (Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Vista Home Prem). When I plug the drive in, it spins up and keeps spinning. And... the adapter is BRAND NEW from Ascent (got it from the courier this morning). Should I send it back?? |

| 699292 | 2008-08-22 02:05:00 | I got one of these about 2 weeks ago it has also got problems with 3.5" IDE drives, but seems to work fine with SATA and 2.5" IDE. I plan to take mine back this weekend. |
