A NZer followed that course with one of his clients who was dying on Everest . The result: two dead . There were no "passersby" . There were other climbers, at the limit of their own physical resources . It's a totally uninhabitable zone . If you go there you go at your own risk, at your maximum speed . And when you have got there, you get out . If you can . If someone else can't make it . . . that has to remain their problem . They may have cellphones, or satellite phones . Rubbish - reports said that 40 people "passed by" - you can't tell me that in spite of the conditions there wasn't one of those people capable of spending the few minutes to be with the bloke .
