458537 2006-05-29 05:50:00 passes to the wing ... passes back to the back ... passes to the wing...

No wonder someone decided just to pick the damn thing up and run off with it... :)

Knock on....scrum....collapse....scrum....sorry....scrum ....pass...kick...line out...not straight...scrum...collapse...scrum

458538 2006-05-29 05:55:00 Oh please, far and away the most exciting game, as proved by the billions of fans world wide .

Uh, how is that proof of anything?

By that logic Dell computers kick arse, a Big Mac is the worlds best burger, Oprah is the fat end of all that is worth knowing, and Nsync are the greatest band to have ever walked the earth .

458539 2006-05-29 06:11:00 Played soccer for 8 years - then I grew up.

Admit it is the most popular game in the world but frustrating game to watch at this level with all the "hollywood dives". Get rid of that and make sure that every game has a result (no draws) then I might bother watching the odd game or 2.

So there should be no draws in any sport then??? Or why just football / soccer?

458542 2006-05-29 08:59:00 Easily the single most boring game to ever hit a grass paddock .

Having the television turned off makes for better viewing .

I think rugby wins that by a country mile as worlds most tedious game . It isn't even close to rugby league for entertainment (too much kicking, slow scrums and pointless lineouts) and well it isn't within light years of football .

As for having the television turned off - that is exactly the same as watching the Super 14 final . Looked like bad rain fade to me .

458543 2006-05-29 09:33:00 Even if you aren't a fan of soccer, at least have a look at this compilation of Cristiano Ronaldo : . youtube . com/watch?v=BycvRfhFYlo" target="_blank">www . youtube . com

He is to soccer what Carlos Spencer was to rugby . An absolute pleasure to watch .

Hopefully Parry contributes to this thread - he has put together a comprehensive wallchart using Excel, complete with national anthems and the kitchen sink . . . . . bring it on Parry!

Here's another Cristiano Ronaldo compiltion :

If Portugal go far enough in the competition then Cristiano Ronaldo will be one of the stars of the tournament . Who's gonna win? Time will tell . . . . . the Pomgolians probably fancy themselves despite Rooney's injury . It's hard to look past Brazil but you can never write off the German or Netherland teams . . .

458544 2006-05-29 09:33:00 If you stretch the definition of a paddock to fit a golf course, then gold would be the most boring game to ever hit a grass paddock Greven (91)
