It sounds like you didnt install it properly, or it wasnt in far enough

699777 2008-08-24 05:24:00 I just inserted it again and this time it was a success. I now have 640mb of RAM instead of 384mb. And wow, the speed it may not seem that much but it is a lot faster. Thanks for all your help. Craig Mellor (13762)
699778 2008-08-24 05:28:00 Cool :) BTW the reason it showed 384mb when 512 mb was installed was:

The videocard is using 128 mb of it. 512 - 384 = 128

And now that you've put in the 512 + 256 - 128 = why it shows 640mb now
