699451 2008-08-22 19:44:00 Well, right now, I've gone back to IE 7, using Roboform . So it saves me typing in my usernames / passwords all the time .

And IE7 Pro, to block the ads .

And I've added shortcut keys to the sites I visit, which saves me going through the menu, to select whatever site .

I've tried FF 3 . 01, its still not good enough .

On some / or most sites, where there's a menu, click on it, (when you move the mouse, (Example, click on the menus in FF, you'll see what I mean) ( . edencomputers . co . nz/c . aspx" target="_blank">www . edencomputers . co . nz) its meant to close (it doesnt it stays open) . This doesnt happen in Opera, or IE . Move the mouse it closes .

You have to refresh the page, for it to disappear in FF .

Installed Opera 9 . 52 last night (which has just come out), thats no better .

Some sites took ages to load, sometimes, you had to press enter 2-3 times to get it to load whatever site . And it started hanging .

699452 2008-08-22 20:09:00 think you got a bum install of ff. No more internet exploder for me. wotz (335)
699453 2008-08-22 20:12:00 Umm no its happened with every version of FF I've installed, not just 3.01. Speedy Gonzales (78)
699454 2008-08-22 20:33:00 Agree with that Speedy, there has been a lot of hype about Firefox when actually IE7 is a good browser.

Safari is still the fastest browser though but if I can't use that I prefer to use IE7 rather than Firefox.

I know several people who have had problems with Firefox and rather than going back to IE have started using Safari with good results.

699455 2008-08-22 20:45:00 I'm sticking with Firefox. It's just a minor annoyance in an otherwise perfect browser. pcuser42 (130)
699456 2008-08-22 21:21:00 I've had problems with mouse-over menus hiding behind the flash graphic banner making it a challenge to select a particular item .

I just put it down to bad website design/coding . :badpc:

699457 2008-08-22 21:44:00 I thought it was bad coding too . BUT, then it would happen in Opera and IE .

It doesnt

699458 2008-08-22 22:17:00 IE7 still doesn't provide sufficient conformance with web standards to be considered an acceptable browser, in my opinion. If you're having problems with Firefox, I suspect it might be a dodgy extension... or maybe just a dodgy operating system... :) dlane (11847)
699459 2008-08-22 22:23:00 If you're having problems with Firefox, I suspect it might be a dodgy extension... or maybe just a dodgy operating system... :)Yeah, well I run Fedora 9, so that must be it. ;) Jen (38)
699460 2008-08-22 22:25:00 Well no its not dodgy .

And there were only 2 addons installed for FF (Adblock/Flashblock) .

If it happened with other browsers, then I would blame the sites .

But its fine with other browsers

I'm not too worried about web standards, just as long as the browser works properly . I dont care what browser I use
