700525 2008-08-26 10:36:00 Help!
I started a new thread, the old thread was getting too old.
What happened is after removing all tghe infections on my laptop I decided to install SP1.

BAD idea.

Set it to install and fell asleep but when I woke-up their was a BSOD that said:

wstdiwlh.sys

DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENDING_OPERATI ONS

Technical Informtion:

***STOP:0x0000000CE (0x953A0DB8, 0x000000000, 0x953A0DB8,0x000000000)

700526 2008-08-26 10:51:00 Googling that WSTDIWLH.SYS showed only a couple of suggestions - it looks like the Laptop may have still been infected when SP1 was put in, resulting in a bad install.

Is this Vista SP1 or XP SP1 ?

If its Vista, boot from the DVD and run the Repair My Computer / restore back to before attempting to install SP1, as it should have made a restore point as it started to install.
