700474 2008-08-26 07:16:00 I can't seem to find a edition of this software that has what I want without spending a HUGE amount of money on the Ultimate package.

Word
Excel
Onenote
Outlook (WTH was this removed from all standard versions of Office???)

I am perfectly willing to pay for it I just don't want to pay Ultimate prices or even need half the crap in it.

700475 2008-08-26 07:20:00 Have a look at this (www.imagef1.net.nz) shows what all the packages contain in a simple table. stormdragon (6013)
700476 2008-08-26 07:20:00 Here's what each edition has (office.microsoft.com)

According to that Standard has OL, Word and Excel, but not Onenote, Access or Publisher

MS Office 2007 - Basic
MS Office 2007 - Standard
MS Office 2007 - Ultimate (might as well look)
MS Office 2007 - Professional Plus (might as well look)

I am after best price scenario, I can supply a student ID if necessary for Academic versions.

700480 2008-08-26 08:36:00 Buy Office Basic edition (Word, Excel and Outlook) or Standard edition if you want PowerPoint.

Then purchase an academic version of Onenote.

You'd probably be up for about $300-$400

If you are a student enrolled in a relevant department at a participating university, you can get a copy of OneNote free under the MSDNAA Programme. See: blogs.msdn.com

Too much effort, I can aquire a student for the purchase and for those prices I can get Enterprise which has everything anyway.
Although I must admit that EULA is looking a little scary (thats never happened before)
