| 700104 | 2008-08-25 03:23:00 | Recently bought some PC parts, the seller threw in a little USB webcam that "may or may not be working" Anyway, I examined it, found out that the cord had breaks in several places (turns out this was on the 5v so obviously it wouldn't have worked!) So I scavenged another USB cable off an dead keyboard, and after re-checking all the wires about fifty times (because in the original cable, the wires were all the same colour and on the new cable, the colours were completely different to normal USB colour-coding, eg: red turned out to be ground) And to make matters worse, I somehow got a pinout from a website that was wrong (data+/data- were swapped) so it conflicted with the other website I was looking at Plugged it in and windows (XP SP2) detected it as a "PC Camera". Unfortunately that's as far as it got, after that it said it couldn't find the drivers. There's no model number on the camera, just a name "Colorvis". Searching that name on google images turned up this: www.didong.vn Which seems to be the right one (but mine is silver coloured) So it's likely it's a Colorvis CVC-1111... but after that - I can't find anything else. Anyone got a camera just like this? maybe you wouldn't mind emailing me a copy of the driver CD or something (I don't expect it would be very big) |

| 700107 | 2008-08-25 09:07:00 | Weird, I tried that site this afternoon after searching "Colorvis" in Google - all I got was what seemed to be an error message in Chinese.. Your page loads but unfortunately all the download links appear to not work either. Do they work for you? |
