I wrote awhile back about not being able to enable systems restore [check mark always came back], then Scandisk wouldn't work so I thought a 'format' of ME would bring back my lost files. What a nightmare! It took me back to IE4 and Verizon needed IE6 to work. I couldn't download IE6,even from disk. I tried everything I read in Google to no avail. I even used IEradicator, nothing. I DID manage to download IE5.5 and Verizon was capable of hooking me up. I did get back my System Restore and my scandisk works fine now. But my puter was running terribly. I bought Registrysmart and its running really well again but my System Restore is gone again. Any advice would be appreciated, but this is mainly a warning to others as to what they might encounter. I'm still running my winme [I like it, lol] and I have plenty of disk space. |
