| 699912 | 2008-08-24 06:08:00 | Did you connect the ATX 12v adapter to the mobo, from the PSU? If its got one? Its required otherwise it wont boot I take it, theres something on the hdd? The hdd and dvd, are they connected to one IDE connector, or one on each IDE connector? |

| 699913 | 2008-08-24 06:16:00 | hi, the HDD was pulled from an old pc, we have tried using an alternate one to see if that was the problem but it was still the same. The HDD and DVD are on seperate IDE, and the ATX plug is plugged in | fatesjester (13456) | ||
| 699914 | 2008-08-24 06:24:00 | Did you format the hdd / install windows, before you tried to boot from it?? You will have probs, if you take a hdd from another system, and put it in another. And expect it to work |

And expect it to work But as I read this it will not POST! And if it will not POST it will not BOOT regardless of the bootable media or O/S used. Only other thing I can think of is the molex power plugs arent in properly . Have you configured the BIOS to boot from the hdd? Yer yer sweep . Well obviously something is dead, if its not working |

I would start with only having the ram and video card inserted. As you have no video I would start there. Do you maybe have onboard video plus another card like a pciE? |

| 699920 | 2008-08-24 06:42:00 | Umm another reason why its not booting, could be, because the BIOS thats on the system doesnt support the CPU that you've installed Until you update the BIOS. If youre sure everything is connected properly I would check the gigabyte site for this mobo, to see what BIOS revision you need for that CPU. And if this is the case, you'll have to go back to the shop and ask them to install a lower spec CPU then flash it to a later BIOS, then reinstall this CPU. |
