| 460301 | 2006-06-04 04:40:00 | I was just reading an article about "captain copyright" ripping off a wikipedia article, and after following a few links, I came across this (www.archive.org) (17mb WMV) it's great for a laugh, and it reminded me that games used to come with decent manuals. |

| 460303 | 2006-06-04 08:19:00 | Usually they don't come with a printed manual these days. You often find a manual on the CD though. All you have to do is use your paper and ink to print it. :-) |

| 460304 | 2006-06-04 08:30:00 | All you have to do is use your paper and ink to print it. :-) Its just not the same. The first game I bought (Dark Reign) came with a small book (with a fancy embossed cover & everything) that had detaled information on every unit. |

To play the game, you had to turn to a page randomly selected by the programme and answer a question about it, like "what colour is the first word on the page". This was quite effective, unless you had access to a colour copier, and even then it was probbaly cheaper to buy the game. It also gave an incentive to learn to read ... |
