459157 2006-05-30 21:26:00 its not so much the relationship between the two, it is more, if the price of fuel became any higher, are you easily able to access public transport near you so that you can use less private transportYes,but even if they paid me to fill my tank the avaliability of public transport wouldnt change. 459158 2006-05-30 21:43:00 If the price of fuel was to rise any further is public transport easily available to you?

Dosent make sense  what does the price of fuel have to do with availability of public transport.
I think the point of that is are you likely to use public trasnpsort - and CAN you use it. For instance where I live there isn't any so I couldn't even if I wanted to.

459161 2006-05-30 22:55:00 Lagbort - I'll be interested if anyone says they accept the current tax on fuel. It is a fair question but when you ask anyone if they'd like to pay less tax - the answer will always be YES!!! So the answer doesn't really inform you.

Might I suggest the better question would be - should fuel tax be spent on roading exclusively, or energy exploration/alternative fuels, or policing, or hospitals (accidents)? At present a fair slice goes into general government funds instead of roads.

459162 2006-05-31 07:04:00 well I can tgell you winston I have had a couple of responses in the affirmative to that tax question, but yes I agree If I had had more time I would have done a better job on the questions, but this is me being 2 weeks behind :p lagbort (5041)
459163 2006-05-31 08:29:00 Hi Lagbort. Don't lose any sleep over the niggles about your questions. Almost any questionnnaire can be faulted. There are people out there who make a living out of trying to define perfect questions for such things - or even define questions which will draw a desired or skewed answer to meet their client's political ends. Its an art. Scouse (83)

That's fair comment and you've done a good job.
