700655 2008-08-27 00:19:00 I was looking for a small laptop to travel with that i can use on my spare time.
While I was searching, I found something called UMPC. How does they compare the regular laptop? I found the Toshiba U2010 (www.pocketables.net) and I'm so into it right now. Will you recommend it?

700656 2008-08-27 00:48:00 Well, 9 hours on the move is great, 64Gb SSD is small, but really, would fit most apps o/s etc...., small screen would bother me as would the lack of power from the 1.6ghz ULVC....single core too!

Havent had a good read of it yet, Partner at our firm is looking for a tablet PC too, however dont think the device would cut it in the office which would mean 2 devices....I'd rather just have a smart phone and more powerful laptop even if if does only last 4 hours on battery.

700657 2008-08-27 01:12:00 The ASUS Eee PC 900 is great if you need really good portability (and have small hands), at the expense of speed (computer speed, that is):

Celeron 900MHz Processor
1GB DDR2-667 RAM
4+16GB (Linux) or 4+12GB (XP) hard disk
9" screen
Wireless
Ethernet
etc...

Weighs 1KG and retails for $750 from DSE.

I'm not sure of it's battery life though - maybe 2.5 hours??
