700134 2008-08-25 04:22:00 Redownload it then try again

Does it say the drivers work with Vista?

700135 2008-08-25 04:29:00 They are vista drivers its trying to install, the USB device has no drivers of its own DeSade (984)
700136 2008-08-25 04:36:00 I would check the FAQ if Logitech have one or send them an email

Is a firewall or something like teatimer, or onecare running in the background??

If they are disable it

700137 2008-08-25 04:55:00 I only run windows firewall (adaquate with my other protections)

It was logitech that caused this problem in the first place :(

700138 2008-08-25 04:56:00 Hmm the Logitech site says this

When using Windows Vista, you may find during the first start up your computer you will need to enable Automatic Updates to get the latest USB drivers.

This is because factory Vista installs do not have the post-launch series of updated USB drivers. A sure sign of this is if your computer asks for a driver disk after connecting a Logitech USB Audio product.

Did it ask for a disk?? Sounds like it did if you installed the drivers

700140 2008-08-25 07:08:00 Ok
I had a problem with my mouse and keyboard (both Logitech products) on my new Vista platform following the advice from the techs at logitech did not help the situation (which I later fixed myself) but it did destroy all my logitech files and registry keys.
Since this device doesn't come with or usually need drivers there are none to use to bypass the Vista drivers and when I try to install the Vista drives you can see the result.
