1430552 2017-01-09 06:19:00 Thanks gray67,

I have installed and activated an account. Does this just work in the background of my Firefox or do I need to open a special tab. It doesn't say in the programme description.

Cheers, A

1430553 2017-01-09 06:34:00 VPN functionality with point to point tunneling protocol is built into windows, you don't have to download any special software.

Google will provide you with umpteen free VPN server sites which will have user names and passwords to use, such as this one:
http://freevpnonline.com/

Here's how to do it www.digitalcitizen.life

The same method works with Window 10.

I have a bunch of VPNs set up if one site is down for any reason.

1430556 2017-01-09 22:31:00 The request was a bit vague:
Free VPN software

Are you wanting a proxy that will simply do a bit of masking of your browsing (Why? They're mostly pointless from a security perspective and just slow things down)
Are you wanting a proxy that will change the IP address you're coming from so you can access content such as streaming media sites as though you were in another region? If so which region?

Are you wanting to securely link your PC to another, such as your office? PPTP is included with Windows as mentioned and is relatively easy to get going
Are you wanting to connect multiple sites together through a VPN and route across it? OpenVPN is powerful and not difficult to get going with either, plus it doesn't get interfered with by routers with VPN ALG's like PPTP can sometimes.

1430557 2017-03-02 20:40:00 as above , the question is too vague
whats at the other end of this VPN ?

Use the VPN built into Win
use the VPN on many routers
use Open VPN

Also, need to know what thoughput speed you need
what routers or firewall at both ends, is it just for TV streaming, what is at the other
end of the VPN , are you just after a free VPN service/host , what country does it have to be in if its for streaming TV etc
Are you trying to connect to a hardware firewall based VPN & need the specific VPN client for that device ?

As, presumably, is the OP.
