1429784 2016-12-13 21:46:00 Hi Team

I have encountered an email problem with one or possibly both of my email addresses, business & private.

The error message is '**** error connection with ssl'. Note: (****) is a substitute for my short-form business email address.

Gmail is operating normally.

Of all times for this to happen, I need it back on line asap!

Cheers

not enough info , need to confirm if its both or not .
could be email host having issues, email client issues , email host changing their setup (auth requirements)

are both personal & bus emails with the same host , is the personal using your domain address ,
have you checked status page of your email host(s)

is one of these xtra ?

1429786 2016-12-13 22:20:00 If it's an xtra acount, get the settings and manually configure the account. Sometimes the auto config doesn't quite cut it ... but what can you expect from Yahoo ... Xtra have even given them the boot ! SP8s (7813)
1429787 2016-12-13 22:24:00 Could also be AV causing SSL email issues , or 3rd party firewall

Test with another email client , on another PC if possible. Also see if webmail to that bus email works .

1429788 2016-12-14 04:12:00 Xtra is just covering their own, Yahoo is in financial trouble. Kame (312)
1429789 2016-12-16 04:07:00 All OK now

I got it back in action the next day.

I did a full reboot then left it a while, after which normal service was resumed, so it seems it was the Spark / Yahoo / Xtra problem!

Cheers

1429790 2016-12-16 05:05:00 I had that last week with an Xtra a/c - was tearing my hair out uninstalling/reinstalling stuff. I think that was all a waste of time... All came right the next day. :) R.M. (561)
