1429216 2016-11-26 03:52:00 Or drivers from the ASUS site which are 359.21? But they're from 25.1.2016. The prob is the Nvidia drivers are logging a livekernel 117 error.

Some sites say you can get this error, if the drivers are old/outdated? But they're 10 mths older than the ASUS drivers?

Not too sure if the card is the prob (only got it last night online). It came this morning. Or if the PCI-E port on the mobo is stuffed or something

1429217 2016-11-26 04:50:00 Generally I stick with the chip manufacturers drivers.
However, if there are issues, nothing wrong with using an older one.

1429218 2016-11-26 06:05:00 K I'll try the Asus drivers. And see what happens Speedy Gonzales (78)
1429219 2016-11-26 08:58:00 I've got an antique video card (610 or something!)and spent a lot of time trying to get an up to date driver. In the end the easiest way was to wipe out EVERYTHING Nvidia with Revo Uninstaller, then go to the Nvidia web site and do their automatic install. Works, well, and not getting problems I had been having previously.
Worth a try.

1429220 2016-11-26 09:49:00 Seems to be ok for now I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers, used DDU (an uninstaller program) to remove the HD3450 drivers (previous card).

Then reinstalled the older ASUS drivers

I noticed the flatmate's PC (she plays canasta), with the Nvidia drivers there was like a tinge in the middle of the game.

And the screen went black every 3-5 mins. I havent seen it go black again.

And there's no tinge now. I was watching her go through the herald site. This was crashing before. It never crashed with the HD3450. Since installing the older drivers, I didnt see it crash either.

Then the bloody ram decided to play up. 4 GB was installed, then after I rebooted only 2 GB was getting recognised. Got that sorted out then decided to add 2 GB out of the other older PC here (it had 8 GB). So both the older PC's have 6 GB now
