At one time I owned several four plex apartments in Anaheim . . . . and there were quite a few Latino/Mexican families who lived in the units when I took them over . They were all simewhat new-ish imports from Central and Baja Mexico, and I cannot express fondly enough about how great they were as renters . They paid rent weeks if not months in advance, had quite new vehicles with big name US insurance company policies, had well dressed visitors and we're extremely friendly and forthcoming to both me and my wife . Also . . . they applied for and waited the prescribed waiting time and background check the US required in those days . . . . before they were invited to enter the US legally . These were not a small contingent either, as I got to know, eat with and generally become friends with them all, and to each one of them they resented those who illegally jumped the fence and then demanded "their (nonexisting) Constitutional rights " . Here's the kicker: illegal . . . . (or shouldest I offer a milder and more PC title: "Confused Tourists") . . . . . as such I continue, illegal fence hoppers and therefor: invaders . . . DON'T HAVE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS which are only afforded to US Citizens, of which they are not . These then, I proffer as the Latino vote that eschews those who arrive in sanctuary cities and receive benefits to which they are not allowed under law, as that block of voters FOR Trump . I suggest you live a tad closer to me so you can actually see the reasons why people do as they do, and stop trying to exert your non existing authority on things you wish were your ledgdomain* . The days of Brit colonization are but gone now: check your history books . * ledgerdomain, noun: the skillful use of one's hands when performing conjuring tricks . In Middle French, folks who were clever enough to fool others with fast-fingered illusions were described as "leger de main," literally "light of hand . " English speakers condensed that phrase into a noun when they borrowed it in the 15th century and began using it as an alternative to the older "sleight of hand . Too bad, they do anyway. So what if you had Latino tenants. Trump did pick on them. Although he seems to be back tracking on that rant now. As for reasons, what is living there got to do with anything? I don't need to live in the US to be aware of the gun hobby or the amount of shooting that goes on. Including presidents. We tend to just make comments about ours, rather than take pot shots with weapons. What ever british colonisation has to do with anything. Trump was saying that the undocumented - er, "lost & confused tourists", were problematic . He said nothing about the imported and now-living-as-US-citizens-legally - types . I had legal residents and regularized people in my apartments who later became US citizens, etc . , etc and I had the privilege to vouch for them - so I know about what I am speaking here - you don't . The legal people hated intensely those who illegally jumped the border and then took all the money out of schools, emergency rooms, street maintenance, trash pickup, police footprint with replacement officers when others retired . The huge cost for services that should go to legal residents, is probably equal to the whole gross national product of most middle sized countries . Before you rant on things about which you only have a knee jerk hate for all things US - get the facts . I personally care little who is- or becomes- president, King For A Day or some sweepstakes winner . YOU on the other hand are repulsed by things that you have minimal facts to support .
