| 1429714 | 2016-12-13 08:41:00 | OOOOOOOHHHH getting a bit tetchy Wai. Windows 10 is a sad joke, bloke. Hardly - So many people are puppets , they complain and when asked what the actual problems are they cant answer. (you're response in the quote for example - that's not an answer its a side step) the Question - " its Tetchy" -- Seriously ? The comment its a sad joke is NOT an answer its a opinion. I put in a new Desktop the other week (The lady said NO way did she want a laptop) , the lady is elderly, and had come from XP, had a Celeron with 256MB RAM, shes called me 4 times since saying how great this new OS is and loving discovering all the things she couldn't do before, like all the free stuff from the store. The only thing she's found slightly different was the start menu, but she even figured that out within a couple of minutes, and shes in her 80's. A guy I used to work with was very fond of saying to people "That's not what was asked" and he was always spot on, many people wont actually answer the question, ( Eg:a politician - they dance around but never actually answer). SO I'll ask again, what cant be done in W10 that could be done in W7 ( updates in Home excluded) In other words put your money where your mouth is :) |

| 1429715 | 2016-12-13 18:00:00 | 1. I am not here to start another debate on Win10. It's endless and a complete waste of time issue. :) 2. Whoever thinks that Win10 is a great OS or otherwise, that's perfectly fine with me. I respect his/her views, although I may not agree. :) 3. This forum is for us to discuss and solve problems if possible but not coming here to start arguments/debates. :) :) :) There are much more better things to do than that, like have a few glasses of beer. 4. Cheers. |

Default printer changes based on your WiFi SSID as you roam around networks (easily turned off) If you have an update pending you can still choose to shutdown or restart instead of update then shutdown or update then restart Default printer changes based on LAST USED printer , even on PC's with no wifi . Some PC's MUST keep the default printer constant (ie real world) wifi sharing is still a stupid option, it basically gives all your kids friends & neighbors & acquaintances free access to your wifi , please, how is that more secure ? you basically loose control over who can access your wifi. NOT SECURE , real world . sure they can be turned off, thats not the point. These should NEVER have been the default to start with. again, real world. :) and to be fair, MS is adressing 'issues' & making changes to 10 as we go |

People need to be more specific when they complain with a three worder. Windows 10 is wonderful, and the fact that it upgrades will be free for ever (so they say) is great. |

| 1429721 | 2016-12-14 03:21:00 | Thanks BK T, you confirmed exactly what I said. :thanks The comment was made Win10 is a 'toy' now for people to 'play' with; not a 'work horse' platform anymore! I asked what cant be done in W10 that could be done in W7 And as predicted we wouldn't get an actual answer, by saying "they complain and when asked what the actual problems are they cant answer" Your above reply #22, while accurate only proves it. Are you by any chance or have ever been a politician ? |

Like reacting to real world feedback about what the defaults should be . And you can still change them . WiFi sharing . Sounds like some misunderstandings . That's not how the feature worked at all . It didn't magically share your Internet to kids friends and neighbors etc . you were still always in control . It's better than telling them the password since they could tell others etc . |
