| 1429986 | 2016-12-17 07:04:00 | I am using Office 365 University (2016) and Windows 10 Pro Anniversary Update. I have a word template which does a Mail Merge from an Excel 2016 file. No matter what format I use for date in Excel it shows in mail merge as USA Format e.g. 12/15/2016. This 12/15/2016 occurs even if I format date in Excel as December 15 2016 (i.e. Also USA format). I want NZ date format. 15/12/2016 or similar. I have read suggested fixes on Microsoft Community Forum . One says use a DDE element : . In Word select Tools menu then Options, then General Tab Then tick Confirm Conversion at Open Sounds good except that such option does not appear. I then went to Online Help to see if the Conversion etc. bit was located elsewhere. Help directed me to the Advanced Tab but it does not show there. Has any member managed to overcome this irritating Mail Merge format problem? |
